About The Chamber

OUR MISSION:

Maximizing Greater Oro Valley’s unmatched assets.

OUR HISTORY:

The Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce was formed in the fall of 1992 to support the growth of and business interests in the community. It became the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce in 1998, when Northwest Tucson was entering a period of major growth. Then, in 2011, directors went back to the organization’s roots, and adopted once more the name Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Makenna Markley

Events/Communications Director

Makenna Markley

joined the Chamber as the Events and Communications Director in November of 2022.

Born and raised in Greater Oro Valley, Makenna left the warm weather to attend Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego for her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations. After graduating, she moved back home to the Sonoran desert. (Many regard this as a questionable life decision, and Makenna often misses the San Diego breeze.)

Makenna loves comedy tv shows, except for the Office, and just about anything chocolate. In her spare time, you will find her hosting friends for movie nights or cuddling on the couch with her puppy dog, Mambo.

Leah Noreng

Leah joined the Chamber as Operations Director in February of 2023. A native of Tucson, Leah and her husband returned to the area 15 years ago to raise their 3 boys after college and starting their careers in New Mexico, New England and the Pacific Northwest. Leah has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico and has used her degree in business development and sales and more recently in the nonprofit world.
